Botox and Fillers
Good Morning America recently did a story about women who had adverse effects to Botox and fillers. After further investigation, it was discovered that the products injected were not pure and they were also not licensed for cosmetic usage. We only used licensed cosmetic fillers that come direct from the manufacturer and our Botox is ordered directly from Allergan. More importantly, all of our injections are done by Dr. Kirchdoerffer, who is a licensed, board certified physician. If you have any questions about fillers or Botox, please contact Dr. Kirchdoerffer.
Lipodissolve, Non-surgical liposuction?
There has been a lot of press lately about lipodissolve. Lipodissolve involves a series of injections directly into your fat tissue. As the name implies, chemicals start to breakdown the fat cells around the injections site. While Dr. Kirchdoerffer is certified in lipodissolve, she is not currently performing this procedure due to potential side effects. This procedure is NOT FDA approved and will most likely never be. The chemicals that are injected are not monitored by any governing body. Side effects include dimpling at injection site or even skin necrosis. There are no long-term studies on the effects of lipodissolve on the liver or other organ systems. Should you have any other questions about this procedure feel free to ask Dr. Kirchdoerffer.
Acoustic Wave Therapy Is Here
Acoustic Wave Therapy has arrived. AWT is a novel way to treat cellulite. We all have it and we all hate it. Before AWT, the only method to get rid of cellulite was liposuction. If you’re not ready to go under the knife, try AWT. It is a painless way to achieve firmer, smoother skin on the buttocks and thighs. AWT disrupts the connective tissue to firm and smooth the skin. It causes neovascularization improving circulatory exchanges. This in part initiates an inflammatory process in the skin leading to thicker, more elastic skin through collagen production. This process restores the skin and leaves it with a smoother texture. AWT is done twice weekly for 3 weeks. It takes less than 30 minutes per session and is painless. Results are seen within 3 to 6 weeks after treatment concludes; some patients report seeing a difference half-way treatment! AWT was featured recently on CBS 3 TV in Philadelphia as an up and coming treatment for cellulite. Currently, there are only 3 doctors in the tri-state area that feature Acoustic Wave Therapy. Reflections is proud to announce that we carry this technology. Call today for your free consultation and get started today! Link to CBS Story: http://CBS3.com/health/local_story_333211347.html
